The Law incline was closed in 1861 when the deviation line through Liff and Lochee was opened. This section of track rejoined the original line on the north side of the Kingsway (A90) - I was standing on the track bed of the deviation when taking the above photos - the original track was to the right of the bridge in the left photo - that's my mum's Hillman Husky parked over there. The other photo is looking back into town along the line of the original track which had been used as the line into the Fairmuir and Maryfield marshaling yards.
