On Friday the 4th of July I went to visit Auntie KT and see if I could get a loan of her 'bike' which I found was not road-worthy so I went to see Granny Reeves's 1930s sports model which was much better. That afternoon I cycled with Peter and his friend to Keston village where I got a puncture opposite the 'pub'.
We took it to a garage where we left it and went to the ponds and the Roman Well known as 'Caesar's Well' When we went back to the garage I was told the sad news that they could not mend the puncture and I had to walk home which was about six miles. (When we got home, cousin John mended the puncture without much difficulty.)
