![]() Westminster Abbey |
![]() Guards |
On the Wednesday I went with my Aunt Helen to London where we went round the following:- Hyde Park Corner, where we saw the Wellington Gate, Constitution Hill - the queen's back gate - and Westminster Cathedral. Here we went up St. Edward tower by lift and 64 steps to the top.
Then we went and saw the changing of the soaking wet guards while it poured with rain. I think it was more like the changing of the rain-coat. Then we went round Westminster Abbey where we went into the Royal Chapels and saw the stone of Scone. We saw everything that there was to see including the Wax Effigies. By that time it had stopped raining and we went and met some old my aunt's friends at St. James's Park and had dinner. We fed hundreds of birds.
